As the Golden Knights are only in their sixth season, the team chose to honor their homeland and the history of Vegas as their comeback theme.

Inspired by the old neon hotel signs of the famous Vegas Strip in the 1990s, the Golden Knights’ newest jersey features the Excalibur and Stardust hotels. “Vegas” on the front uses the font of the famous Excalibur Hotel, which opened its doors as the world’s largest resort in 1990. The numbers on the back replicate the cosmic lettering of the space-themed Stardust hotel.

Perhaps the most innovative element of the jersey is the glow-in-the-dark detail engraved with the word “VEGAS”, which aims to draw a parallel between the city, which is the inner glow of the team, and the glow of excitement that shines through the team. the darkness of the desert when one flies into the city. The glow-in-the-dark feature is the first of its kind in professional sports uniforms and continues the innovative theme the team celebrated with its Golden Age campaign.

The pants also feature white swords designed to resemble the sword inside the Excalibur mark. Often part of Vegas’ color wheel, the traditional red and gold can still be found on the jersey as stripe detail to further evoke The Strip’s energy, and the NHL crest has been reworked in vintage orange and black. The red detailing will also come to life under UV light to resemble neon sign tubes. This will be the fourth kit in franchise history and the first new kit since the red Reverse Retro introduced in the 2020-21 season.

Every adidas Reverse Retro jersey is inspired by a year in the past, Vegas tied to 1995 when the Las Vegas Thunder had their best season in the International Hockey League.
